Miss Webber
A darkly funny rhyme about a seemingly charming spider whose friendliness comes with a rather gross catch.
LAUGH & GROSS
7/31/20261 min read

My Miss Webber is a spider of the loveliest repose,
she can eat up all her dinner, from its head down to its toes,
she can catch a million buzzy bugs and tie them in her web,
or climb up twenty stories, and still make it home for bed.
And though she looks quite scary with her hairy, hairy legs,
and her fangs as big as buses, and her muscles like big eggs,
and the red stripe on her back which declares that she could kill
you, if she were to bite you, and you know somehow she will -
she is really kind of friendly, though she might just wrap you up,
and suck out all your brain-bits, and then suck out all your guts.
